Golden Touch Restoration Specialist is a fire, water, and mold restoration company based in Elmont, New York, serving Nassau County and all five New York City boroughs around the clock. Owners Taniesha and Dewayne have built a steady business, and Taniesha brings more than 13 years of restoration experience. Like many established owners, she reached a point where too much of the business depended on her. This is how one full-time Karma Staff professional helped take the office work off her plate.
The challenge: too much running through one person
Taniesha is a hands-on owner. She goes out for inspections, and when a problem comes up on a job site, she often handles it herself. Back at the office, she also manages collections, payments, and expenses. Dewayne spends most of his time in the field.
Their team of 7 to 10 project managers, supervisors, and crew members keeps the jobs moving. But every job also creates office work: client and claim records, adjuster follow-ups, inspection scheduling, receipts, and marketing. Much of that work kept landing on Taniesha’s desk. Every hour spent on it was an hour away from the field or from growing the company.
If you have run a restoration company for a while, you probably know the feeling. The business grows, but more and more still runs through the owner.
How it works: one dedicated person in their systems
In February 2026, Karma Staff placed Manya Arora with Golden Touch. She works only for Golden Touch, full time, and remotely from India.
Manya learned the systems Golden Touch already used, including their CRM for client and claim records and CompanyCam for job photos. She talks with Taniesha every day by phone and video call. When something needs to reach the field, she coordinates directly with Dewayne and the project managers on site.
Taniesha set clear expectations from the start: take the time to get the work right, because rushing leads to mistakes. Manya works the same way. “When we are working, we are seriously working,” she says.
What she takes care of
Eight months in, Manya handles most of the day-to-day office work:
- Client and claim records. She keeps client details, adjuster contacts, and insurance information up to date.
- Job coordination. She checks in with project managers, site managers, and crews on progress at each address, and she schedules inspections.
- Insurance follow-up. She emails adjusters to keep claims moving, including claims with Liberty Mutual and Allstate.
- Collections and expenses. She works with the collections team to clear payments and tracks receipts for reimbursements.
- Paperwork. She prepares contracts and approval forms.
- Marketing. She creates posts and videos for Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, and tracks SEO and analytics.
- Hiring and admin. She runs first-round interviews for project manager candidates, files sales tax, and helps with software and website projects.
She treats the business like her own
On her first day, Manya told Taniesha she would treat Golden Touch’s profits and losses as if they were her own. She has carried that mindset into the job.
Since she started with Golden Touch, Manya has received a 50 out of 50 on every monthly performance review, a reflection of how consistently she has met Taniesha’s expectations and taken ownership of the work.
Golden Touch had been paying an outside estimator in California for each estimate. Manya has been learning to prepare estimates in-house, including in Xactimate, and one estimate she prepared has already been approved by Allstate.
She also helps with growth. Taniesha’s main goal is more leads and more homeowners, so Manya builds prospect lists in Apollo and watches LinkedIn and X for property owners who may need restoration work.
The result: an owner with time to lead
Today, much of Golden Touch’s office work runs through one person who knows the clients, adjusters, and open jobs. Taniesha still goes out to job sites when she is needed, but she no longer has to carry as much of the office work with her. That gives her more time for inspections, her crews, and bringing in new business.
The relationship works because there is trust on both sides. Taniesha gives clear direction, and Manya takes ownership of her work. Her 50-out-of-50 performance reviews back that up. Instead of operating like outside support, Manya has become part of Golden Touch’s day-to-day team.
Could this work for your company?
If you are still handling inspections, chasing payments, and answering adjuster emails after hours, office work may be taking up time you could be spending elsewhere in the business.
Karma Staff places full-time remote professionals with restoration companies. Each person works only for your company, inside the tools you already use, and can take on office administration, estimating support, bookkeeping, customer success, sales support, or digital marketing. You can start with the tasks taking up most of your time and add more as the working relationship develops.
